Here, Kate, here is how I do iced coffee.
1. Tablespoon or so of instant coffee + your sweetener of preference + just enough boiling water to dissolve.
2. Add 1 big ice cube + a splash of coffee creamer, to cool the hot water down so it doesn’t melt the rest of the ice.
3. Top up with a bunch more ice cubes (if you can find little tiny ones, they’re the best, but any size will work).
4. Top off with milk.
5. Stop giving Starbucks your money.
ooooh! I have an iced coffee method too that’s amazing if you have fridge space!
take 1 pound of coffee ground for a French press (just ground coffee from the grocery store is perfect)
pour it into a metal pot
dump in a gallon of water
put it in the fridge for 24-48 hours
strain out the grounds, then drink the coffee with ice, cream, and your sweetener of choice! a pound of coffee lasts our household of three twice-daily coffee drinkers a whole week 😀
