imperfect love day

euclase:

Hello followers. You’ve been so supportive of me and my art lately, and I want to return the kindness. And at first, I thought I might hold a contest to do a drawing for one of you, but I don’t really like that idea because it seems so cold. And I really want to do something that will have a positive impact on all of you in some way.

So I want to do something different, and I’m inspired by Valentine’s Day—but instead of Valentine’s Day, I’m calling it Imperfect Love Day.

I propose the following: that you create something for someone you care about using means you’ve never tried before. If you can’t draw and have always wanted to try, now’s your chance. But it doesn’t have to be just drawing. You could write, cook, knit, sing, give to a charity, anything at all—but do something you’ve never tried before. It won’t be perfect, and it shouldn’t be; your effort will be your gift. You can sign it, “I tried something new for you. Happy Imperfect Love Day.”

I’m really excited to try this myself! I promise to do something out of my comfort zone, something I know I’m not good at, to show you all how much you inspire me with your kindness and support. <3

On February 14, give your imperfect perfect gift to someone who inspires you, and tag it #imperfectlove so everyone can see it.

Good luck!
