shoutout to all the adults in my life that have actually showed me how to be an adult and not just kind of assumed i would figure it out on my own

While I might be mistaken for Internet Dad, as I’ve said to folks before: I was basically raised by google. No one taught me how to adult. The internet did. :/

shoutout to my mom for teaching me a lot of adulting making me do chores, and to Jez for having a really great website

oh, and while we’re at it:

  • 2015: comparatively sucked
  • family: shitty, but worked it out
  • relationship: HELLA
  • books: getting there
  • job: nice
  • tumblr: 👍👍👍👎

polyamory was never something that independently occurred to me as a sensible course, but now that I’m in it, and understand the un-romanticized realities of it (and the fact that it isn’t constant, or consistent, or predictable), it also makes perfect sense

finally got around to “Blue Lily, Lily Blue.” Not Bad! but not my favorite, and I can’t believe Stiefvater passed up an opportunity to refer to “the oh-shit handle”:

“the strap on the ceiling”??? aww man

when we got coffee this morning I saw a pair of crows in a tree a little ways from us and said offhandedly “hmmm, pretty sure that’s a bonded pair and they’re about to prove it by allopreening” and they did, thank u crows. I am the worst!!!

also I feel a great sense of accomplishment because the ~console~ guy I work with, who is truly. truly one of the shyest human beings I’ve ever met, just came over to proactively wish me happy holidays, just in case he didn’t see me before he left for good. AWWWW! we’ve bonded!!

watched my division’s “a look back at 2015” video and hooooooly sheeeeeeeets :’)
