This is a thing in library land. We have a piss ton of data and information at our hands. But because of the lack of filters, and because good research skills aren’t taught, we suck at getting up the hierarchy to knowledge and wisdom.
So, I suppose we /are/ better informed, just less knowledgeable for it.
