Write the story that needs to be written. I use that for everything. Don’t be intimidated because it’s out of your experience. Just do as much research as possible to make sure you’re representing it right.

I think…I think I may have actually said it correctly in option B, because – you have to write what you are, and sometimes, when that story needs to be told, that means expanding your compassions and understandings to writing what you are: human and worthy of respect.
