generally, this time of year, we think 60 is hot and start pulling out our shorts. so it actually is toasty.
That’s so cute.
It’s been the same temperature here, but it’s super nice. It’s Spring. Chicago has such a ridiculously large scale for temperatures, in winter it’s like -30 degrees and in summer it’s 103. So 75 is really nice. It helps that we always have (at least) a breeze, though, because 75 in St. Louis was like 90 here.
we really are just precious here. there’s a tiny, narrow range of temperatures we’re okay with, and everything else we bitch about. if it’s not above 50 or below 70, nine out of ten of the people immediately surrounding you will be put out in some way.
there’s about a two to three-week window in the summer where we hit the 90s and all die a sweltering death by humidity, but otherwise the 80s are about as hot as we get, so when it happens in May it’s shocking. especially since every few years, there’s a late April/early May snowstorm.
