Day 3: Your favorite scene- The Unveiling/dedication of the Blackbird, Flight of the Phoenix
So I can’t really pick a favorite scene. There are just too many. But for sheer happiness that isn’t immediately followed up by soul-crushing, it’s hard to beat this scene. It focuses on a lot of people and brings several little plotlines to a conclusion. It was so lovely and happy and touching and Galactica-is-a-family, and it really captured what I loved about this show. These people stuck together because they were a family, and there was hope, there was forgiveness, and there was a moment of happiness in the bleakness that is BSG. It’s a lovely scene, and it does make me cry every time in a good way.
