Not to keep harping on about this, but at this point I’m sort of desperate…as some of you may know I’ve been invited to attend a film festival in Switzerland for two weeks, starting next week. It’s this workshop where I’ll get to write for several publications and be mentored by established film critics, and I was super excited when I found out I’d been invited. Unfortunately there have been several problems in getting my plane ticket, and now I have to come up with $500 before Friday (July 27) in order to buy a plane ticket to get there…I’ve put a “Donate” button on my blog in the hopes that anyone out there may want to help out – I KNOW IT’S A LONGSHOT – so I’m not tryna sit here asking you guys to essentially pay for my ticket – please believe that’s not what this is. I don’t have anything to give in return except the reviews I would be writing if I do get to go, and I really don’t think people should pay for those kind of services…but I also really believe that this trip could change my career/life and so I just thought, “yolo, fuck it, I’ll put a donate button up”…if anyone wants to help, it will be ~inconspiculously~ at the top of my personal blog zebablah.tumblr.com until I get embarrassed and take it down.
