wassup, Kerry Park? (I think this is Kerry Park.)
This isn’t Kerry; it’s way too close to the water and not high up enough. I was gonna say I think it’s Gasworks, that little stairs bit down by the water where I’d do parkour sometimes, but there’s too much stuff in the water behind it, the tiles don’t look like that, and the fence doesn’t do that either. After an absurd amount of fuddling around with Google Maps, I realized that this wasn’t over Lake Union at all, because the perspective on the Columbia Center and the Third Ave building were wrong – they were flipped around, meaning this was probably a photo from the waterfront. After realizing that, I used Google Maps’ fancy blue-dots-mean-photos thing to find a Panoramio photo that had a very similar skyline/background, which led me to this the checkered platform of Pier 66, which I should have recognized from the beginning, since I’ve been there a few times. It’s specifically, at 47.610961, -122.348759 or so – on the far east edge of the platform, there’s a little rectangle that juts out – the east edge of that rectangle is the far-left section of fence in the photo, the corner just to the south of that is the point, and the long NE-SW-running wall is the corrugated thing off to the right.
