my science fiction universe has occasional impractical-seeming armor that’s actually FUNCTIONAL AS FUCK

yes Monsoon will be dressed in gorgeous skimpy metal pieces (collar, “bra,” cuffs for wrists and ankles, bikini bottom)

but YES those pieces are designed to carry a fierce electrical current so every part of her that is between two pieces of metal is completely covered by an impenetrable field of energy

and actually the metal pieces are the weak points. so yeah, try to stab her sexy bare belly. YOU’LL LOSE

(shhhhh I haven’t figured out the science yet shhhhhhhhhh)

The stories I tell are all, in some way or other, my story. They are confessions.

Every writer is a frustrated actor who recites his lines in the hidden auditorium of his skull.

Rod Serling (via kiitsunes)

Words! Mere words! How terrible they were! How clear, and vivid, and cruel! One could not escape from them. And yet what a subtle magic there was in them! They seemed to be able to give a plastic form to formless things, and to have a music of their own as sweet as that of viol or of a lute. Mere words! Was there anything so real as words?

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde (via kellysteed-kellyrroberts)

to followers who have read my ish: know of any magazines or trade publications that might be a good fit for my style? I’ve been thinking lately about subsidizing my existence with articles and/or short stories. I’ve heard that’s, like, a thing writers can do.

1300+ words of explorative relationship erotica. not bad, haven’t been writing much, especially not unstructured. this is nice, yes

I have this problem where I would much rather read the story I’m trying to write than actually write it.

i’ve been looking for this post my entire life

you put it in words

I could fill a bookshelf with the books I should write and really want to read.

Oh God I am so far in the opposite direction. I KNOW I’m going to have terrible fans who only read for the non-canon slash (which, granted, is there) and I just do not want any part of that.

I guess I don’t get that attached to my characters. I mean, I do, I love them to death, but what other people decide their adventures are is much more amusing than horrifying to me. but I can see how that would be bothersome and if there’s one good reason to stay away from a fandom…it’s the fans.

I am so excited to have unavoidable commute time for writing porn.
