work rant below!

I should definitely have reported my lazy-ass coworker when I had a chance. apparently last week, right before he left for a two-week (at least) surgery recovery break, he went into tickets I had closed, picked one, re-investigated it (incorrectly, I might add), and then assigned it to my supervisor with the following note:

“thought you might need to see this. She issued an incorrect response and didn’t thoroughly investigate the issue.”

okay. OKAY.

I have witnessed at least five instances where he requested time off the phone so he could surf Facebook (he said it was for email admin stuff and didn’t touch the damn control panel). I have watched him weasel his way out of so. many. tickets that he didn’t want to take the time to address. he’s been an ass to me on several occasions and I know my supervisor likes me better (evidence: this particular ticket was not even mentioned in my review, while my supervisor did tell me he was a genius for hiring me ahahaha), so if I’d reported it, the coworker would have gotten at least a verbal hand-smack. but I didn’t. because you know what? I’m not an ass. I can handle my shit, and I can handle his too, and at the end of the day I wasn’t going to feel better for getting him slapped around.

but this. really. REALLY?! this is just precious.

yeahhhhhhh Tumblr rantttttt I’m so grown-up

this company is so fucked, they can’t even be more fucked when their most productive tech support rep leaves.

god I hope I get to leave soon. between the lazy coworkers, the helplessness I get to feel as every issue I report goes unfixed, and the agents that scream at me for no good reason, this has not shaped up to be the cool ‘tweener job I was hoping for.

you bet your ass life motherfucking happens, supervisor.

when “life” consists of “oh wahhhh I need to leave three hours early to sell my truck,” somehow that whisks right under your radar. and so does “I’ve scheduled classes in the middle of my workday” and so does “I need to get offline to play on Facebook every ten minutes, dat cool?”

but “oshit I’ll work from home but our transmission isn’t working” is somehow offensive.

and so is asking for a certain level of respect from our customers even when there’s a language barrier.

welp.

Let’s go ahead and tap that. We want to be sure we turn it on.

coworker, overheard

memo from boss: “Beer Time is after 3:00”

“[the CEO] was very generous in getting the company the kegerator”

“if one of us has been hitting the awesome sauce it probably isn’t a good idea to let an irate owner know you are available”

yeah probably not

also yup

Beer Time at Windermere

FUCK yeah

(even if I won’t be drinking it)

Monday vs. Last Friday

Monday Pros:

  • makeshift London Fog
  • Thursday shows are closer!!!
  • have a soundtrack to my sitcom now, so I can write to it
  • said soundtrack is awesome music I never knew I was missing in my life
  • free copy of Entertainment Weekly for my guilty pleasure perusal
  • Monday Night Football tonight, though I probably won’t end up watching it

Monday Cons:

  • whole week ahead of me
  • last night’s delicious dinner was not good leftover
  • not going to see beautiful condo buildings downtown tonight
  • the Piatto Tiranni have descended in full force

Still the Fucking Same:

  • boss is a class A moronic asshole
  • trying to get through “Guards, Guards!”, which for a Pratchett book is greatly disappointing
  • insane amounts of First World Problems, a.k.a. in which August is an Ameriwhore
