If you use Windows 7/8/8.1 then in the next few days you will get a little notification in your taskbar about upgrading to Windows 10.
This is not a virus. This is not a scam. This is not anything to bitch about.
Microsoft will be releasing Windows 10 in the next few months and all this is, is you giving them the go ahead to push it out to you when it’s ready. When you click the “reserve upgrade” button it will tell the update server to automatically download it just as it does any run of the mill Windows updates. Unlike older versions that were a hassle because you had to get the disk and all that, this one installs absolutely effort-less. Once it’s downloaded you’ll just get a notification to reboot and let it do it’s thing. Don’t worry about compatibility because it’s 99.99% likely you’ll have no issues but it will scan for them just in case.
I have been running the insider preview of Windows 10 for months and it is absolutely amazing, even in unfinished form. Don’t be one of those assholes who insists on clinging to outdated software. Upgrade and you’ll like it. It has the best of 7 and 8 and so much more. The best part is it’s free as long as you upgrade within the first year, and no, you won’t have to pay to keep using it later. Anyone who says that is an ill-informed asshole.
In the future, there won’t be a new version released every few years that completely redoes the whole thing like it’s been in the past. Instead, Microsoft is treating Windows 10 as a service and will be continually upgrading it with new features pushed out when they’re ready, more like you get updates on a smartphone, and once you’ve done the initial upgrade you’ll get all future ones for the life of your computer.
Please do yourself a favor and download Windows 10 when it comes out. Don’t be that person who’s going to whine and complain about how you’ll never leave 7 and shit. Just upgrade and get with the times, and you can make that even easier for yourself by reserving the upgrade now in advance.

my bank processed my grocery payment almost a week late and then hit me w an overdraft fee for it too so yay i’m a hundred dollars in the red O/ you may think that represents me throwing my arms in the air but actually it represents me forcefully removing my head and preparing to throw it at them. thats basically more than half my ordway paycheck, and i was going to try to make medical bill payments tomorrow. ha ha

hey guys over the next couple weeks im probably going to make some sales posts— art supplies, little fun things, etc.
there are a couple items though that while i will make listings for them, idk, maybe you’d like the chance to hop on ‘em first! namely:
- the 156 prismacolor marker set + some trias in beiges and pinks; its a few years old but still in good condition and there are maybe five markers that need replacing
- maimeri blu gouache, a set of 12~? not actually a set— i picked these based on my palette. primaries, earth tones, payne’s grey, a warm and a cool green, there’s also a gold gouache. i got them while i was in italy!!
- my typewriter. this is a portable royal in bright red, with a couple scratches, and a sticker on the side from the vale typewriter co.— i had it repaired. it is fully functioning and has a ribbon! real mother fucking deal, y’all. you can find universal replacement ribbons, or you can do what i’ve done and re-ink the ribbon with a stamping pad.
