Hooray for Drabble-matic

On a happy and rainbow morning, Mitt Romney sat over the rainbow. It was Valentine’s Day and he was all alone. His phalange ached in sorrow for the secret love that he could never share. How could he expect Big Bird to love someone with a platonic tibia?

Hurriedly, he began to recite a poem he had composed. “Ah, my love is like a green bacterial Elmo, all on a summer’s day. I wish my Big Bird would fly me, in his own frank way…”

“Do you?” Big Bird sat down beside Mitt Romney and put his hand on Mitt Romney’s proboscis. “I think that could be arranged.”

Mitt Romney gasped unfortunately. “But what about my platonic tibia?”

“I like it,” Big Bird said begrudgingly. “I think it’s swift.”

They came together and their kiss was like a tarantula that wanders all over the hovercraft.

“I love you,” Mitt Romney said laughingly.

“I love you too,” Big Bird replied and flew him.

They bought a sea slug, moved in together, and lived randomly ever after.

” There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax.”

I just want to bask in this for a second. this guy has every right to yell and curse out Romney – considering, for a moment (all political leanings aside), nothing but the sheer hypocrisy of his service vs. his rights. instead he calmly asks a question, thanks Romney for his answer, and then makes his decision. sure, he’s righteously pissed, but he doesn’t display that vitriol in a setting that would make him seem inflammatory or to a person who, clearly, is not going to change his mind. he’ll cast his vote and exercise what rights he has, and meanwhile it’s pretty clear based on the behavior of these two men who is being wronged by the other’s life choices (filmed by enough media to spread his story around) and who can be the bigger person. and that, kids, is how I believe protesting should be done.
