so tonight we raided the freezer and the fridge and Jake decided to rely on his specialty and whip up some charcuterie.

he started with a few veggies… onions, carrots, bok choy, bell pepper…

next it was time to put some veal and beef and oats and seasoning-type shit into the mixer and beat it to hell until it became a delicious meatveggieseasoningoats paste and he formed it into this lovely loafy:

next up: that bacon you can see lurking in the corner.

enlarged for bacon.

all set! into the oven with this bad boy

holy wow this is gonna be good – topped with a BBQ-Dijon-chipotle-fruitbeer glaze…….

but you just don’t know how beautiful these things are until they come out of the oven

LOOK AT THIS

yes it tasted as good as it looked

in a little while I’m going to post a readmore text post with beautiful pictures of this meatloaf Jake is making. fair warning if you don’t want to see pics of food or meat

I picked Psycho, I’ve never read it, Jake highly recommends it, and I’m on a “scare the shit out of myself” kick I spose

this weekend was tough. I ran into a wall. I was missing a big piece. and Jake, despite everything this last week (month, year), had the fortitude to scoop me up in his arms and help me figure out what it was. so for the first time in a while, I don’t feel like I’m breathing underwater. I’ve got a direction. I can do this.

eyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

almost killed myself trying to reach Jake so we could lock hands and combine our wishing powers at 11:11
