Life isn’t divided into genres. It’s a horrifying, romantic, tragic, comical, science-fiction cowboy detective novel. You know, with a bit of pornography if you’re lucky.

Alan Moore

The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.

Mark Twain

The world breaks us all. Afterward, some are stronger at the broken places.

Ernest Hemingway (Farewell to Arms)

Monday vs. Last Friday

Monday Pros:

  • makeshift London Fog
  • Thursday shows are closer!!!
  • have a soundtrack to my sitcom now, so I can write to it
  • said soundtrack is awesome music I never knew I was missing in my life
  • free copy of Entertainment Weekly for my guilty pleasure perusal
  • Monday Night Football tonight, though I probably won’t end up watching it

Monday Cons:

  • whole week ahead of me
  • last night’s delicious dinner was not good leftover
  • not going to see beautiful condo buildings downtown tonight
  • the Piatto Tiranni have descended in full force

Still the Fucking Same:

  • boss is a class A moronic asshole
  • trying to get through “Guards, Guards!”, which for a Pratchett book is greatly disappointing
  • insane amounts of First World Problems, a.k.a. in which August is an Ameriwhore
