I tend to factor in a lot of different things when determining whether or not someone is going to be Good People. behavior when confronted by difficult and unexpected things. long-term promise-keeping abilities. tendencies to remain them, at their core, whatever that may be. body language. eye contact. kindness, intentions, the words they use when no one’s listening…
but at the end of the day the only metric that really matters is

all the coffee shop aus are like “character A frequents peaceful independant coffee shop where character B is a Hot Barista and is charmed/intimidated by their angelic beauty, great taste in music, and delicious coffee.” those are fine, but i want a coffee shop au that speaks to me. i want a coffee shop au where the characters all work in a high volume store and character a and character b argue about wether to remake a batch of coffee that was brewed wrong or just serve it. i want a coffee shop au where character b can’t stand character a at first but character a has no idea because they have such a good customer service face. i want that kind of coffee shop au.
