I MUST KNOW

I DON’T HAVE HER NAME YET but she’s one of the two moms of the character I’m having Kat draw, Monsoon, and she’s a jewelry-maker and a part-time witch who has incredible herbal concoctions, grows a mad strain of Mouran smokable, and has uncanny ability with animals (also the other sentients of Moura). she teaches Gus how to actually listen, and makes ceaseless fun of all men

I read 30 books this year! that’s not counting the…um let’s see. three? I think it was three. three books by friends, two of which aren’t quite finished.

anyone else want to know their character? this game helps me worldbuild

Jez: she needs a name, but that will come in time. she wears sharp suits, sometimes with slacks, sometimes with pencil skirts. she has an implant that grants her instant and total access to all archives on the planet, but her ingenuity and ability to make instant connections is her own.

Kat: her name’s Arrissa Margalit, and she’s a newly-minted officer in the Fleet who finds it daunting to warm up to her kids (that’s the term they use for collective group, instead of dudes or guys or w/e, anyway sorry I get sidetracked!!) but is really super sweet and has deep, thoughtful opinions, if you can get her to talk about them. she’s sporty, but like, only for her (yoga and running; they have to do lots of that shit in the Fleet). she loves birds (her fighter’s named Snowfinch).

I have no idea why this laptop isn’t letting me respond to comments! but Jez – I have a perfect role for your character actually, with those characteristics along with your dry wit. she’s going to be the personal research assistant of one of the main antagonists. I’m really excited.

(also, yes, library! I think I’ll put some of the ones I found on hold and grab them on the way home.)

OH MY GOD HUE. HUE IS THE COOLEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN. THREE YEARS OF ANTICIPATION DID NOT DIMINISH THIS THING.

i have no idea. uh, loomis maybe! anything by james gurney. that one book by juliette Aristides

What kind are you looking for? Tutorials, inspiration, prompt books, etc.? General drawing, or specific areas?

Em, good recs, I’m gonna look those up.

looking for tutorials and prompt books, probably, emphasis on the tutorial. or process books. process books are very helpful. general drawing, I’m guessing he’d prefer people if there are good concise books on that subject, but also architecture and landscapes
