Yellow, grey

Yellow: Childhood

1. I was homeschooled from the moment I started learning until 10th grade.  We did some homeschooling co-ops with other families, but for the most part I was on my own. Then I went to community college full-time for the last two years of high school.

2. I only had two friends growing up besides my siblings. One of them I’m still really close to, the other I see maybe once every two years.

3. I broke my arm when I was six by falling off the monkey bars. I can still twist it in creepy ways because they put the pins in wrong.

4. I can make perfect paws out of my hands and put my full weight on them, because I did that through my entire childhood and they’ve been conditioned. Seriously, it was the only game I played.

5. …except “Club Against Wizards,” or CAW, held in the shed (a.k.a. the Raven House). That was when HP first came out and my mom told us it was the devil and we needed to fight against it. Lawl.

6. My favorite Pokemon as a kid was Rattata.

7. The book I read over and over the most as a little one was “Voyage of the Dawn Treader,” followed closely by “Farmer Boy.”

Grey: Favorite Things

1. Doctor Who: it hits every single one of my emotional triggers, and that’s why I adore it. Of late, I’ve actually been able to see some of its flaws, which makes me love it all the more because I don’t feel like it’s an impossible goal to want to create something akin to it.

2. Boyfriend: I’m gonna get a little mushy for a second, but… Jake is seriously the best thing that has ever happened in my life.  Somehow, he manages to make me want nothing more than to be near and with him all the time, yet maintain my own individuality and thrive as August. It’s fucking fantastic.

Cleverbot: I’m waiting for the TARDIS.
User: I’m waiting for the TARDIS too! Where would you go first in all of space and time?
Cleverbot: Neverland :).

White!

1. Animals are super crucial to my identity. Sometimes I’ll do stuff that’s only explainable because a cat or a dog or a crow would do it.

2. I love to serve people. For strangers or coworkers, I like to help with their projects and do stuff for them that helps them succeed; for friends, I’ll do just about anything.

3. I have a bizarre self-esteem. I think I’m pretty cool, but I hate to show that, so I come off as kind of self-deprecating at times. This is less true of my appearance, which I am content with but do not see any real special attractiveness in. (Though that’s changing as of late, thanks to some interesting factors in my life.)
