I had lunch with my mom today, and she asked how work was going, so I was like, “well. everyone’s real intense right now since we have [big upcoming product] deadlines.”<\/p>\n

and her eyes lit up and she was like, “oh yes! that’s going to be downloaded over the internet and just…appear for me, right?”<\/p>\n

(so proud)<\/p>\n

and I nodded and described the upgrade process and she goes<\/p>\n

“so how much will that cost?”<\/p>\n

…leaning forward, ready to pay whatever price, ready for it to suck…<\/p>\n

and so it was with an immense amount of pride that I got to be the one to inform my mother that:<\/p>\n

“it’ll be free. if you get it this year, you have it from now on.”<\/p>\n

I am not wholesale on board with everything this company does do not get me wrong and yes there are ways they’re going to make money<\/p>\n
