{"id":41992,"date":"2013-03-31T22:56:15","date_gmt":"2013-03-31T22:56:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.augustwritesabook.com\/tumblr-backup\/2013\/03\/31\/much-ado-about-tools\/"},"modified":"2013-03-31T22:56:15","modified_gmt":"2013-03-31T22:56:15","slug":"much-ado-about-tools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.augustwritesabook.com\/tumblr-backup\/2013\/03\/31\/much-ado-about-tools\/","title":{"rendered":"Much ado about tools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&rsquo;s been like an episode of the as-of-yet-nonexistent reality show &ldquo;Device Swap&rdquo; around here this weekend! \u00a0Jake graciously bestowed his laptop upon me, saying that while he&rsquo;d love to keep it, I need it right now between starting up <a href=\"http:\/\/www.augustfixeseverything.com\/\">my consulting side business<\/a>\u00a0and writing so much. \u00a0So now, with this beautiful Apple keyboard that truly compels me to type, I&rsquo;m starting my editing of\u00a0<em>A God Grown Old<\/em>. \u00a0Slowly but surely I&rsquo;m replacing all of the spots where I&rsquo;d gotten lazy or couldn&rsquo;t find an old reference and had to put questions marks in brackets, and going through my &ldquo;Rough Draft 1&rdquo; copy on my Kindle to find the highlights I&rsquo;d made for awkward phrasing or concepts I need to look at again.<\/p>\n<p>And seriously, this computer is awesome. I can type so fast on it.
