The <em>kitsune<\/em>\u2019s fur also turns a white colour when they reach a certain age. Anubis is my favourite Ancient Egyptian deity and he is often seen with an Ankh, which represents life.\u00a0 The actual Egyptian hieroglyph means \u201ceternal life\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Anubis plays many different roles in Ancient Egyptian culture, and one popular, well-known role of his is weighing the heart of a deceased person on a scale against a a feather, deciding the fate of their soul.\u00a0 This also reminded me of the Japanese <em>kitsune<\/em>, as in stories they are sometimes portrayed as testing a person\u2019s kindness and loyalty.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t know if that made any sense, but uh, I\u2019ve talked too much.\u00a0 So yeah, here.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This is really fucking cool.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>anotherwaywardson: First drawing in my new Moleskine.\u00a0 I did not plan to put so much detail or effort into this but\u2026 I really, really like it a lot and want to ink it, and maybe colour.\u00a0 I spent some time doing research on various Egyptian artifacts such as the cartouche and the Ankh.
