I was talking with my (thankfully liberal) coworker today about that awful Rick Perry ad, and it really struck me how so many conservatives I know, including my mother, treat homosexuality as if it&rsquo;s a religion &#8211; probably involving sacrifices of glittery shoes to Freddie Mercury, for all they can get past stereotypes. and then I was like, wait, woah, now you&rsquo;re <em>really<\/em>\u00a0discriminating and that&rsquo;s just not okay.<\/p>\n<p>I certainly don&rsquo;t agree if people want to say homosexuality is wrong, but that&rsquo;s their choice of belief. however, it is NOT grounds to make any sort of legal precedent. fuck that noise.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0anoteinpink\u00a0said:\u00a0thanks, August. &lt;3 you captured a lot of our (mine and Nick\u2019s and Em\u2019s, specifically) frustrations with this whole \u201cchoice\u201d argument.
