The whole thing. If you don\u2019t know what that is, read <a href=\"http:\/\/splitsider.com\/2011\/03\/the-dan-harmon-school-of-comedy-writing\" title=\"Dan Harmon on story structure\">this<\/a> article. Basically this is the master arc of the entire series.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll notice something else: as per Dan Harmon\u2019s story structure, it\u2019s broken into quadrants. These quadrants correspond to story and emotional landmarks that stories should hit at certain points. They also correspond to seasons of the show. Each of the pictures in quadrant 1 (upper right) are from season 1, quadrant 2 from season 2, and so on. There\u2019s only 4 quadrants. So I guess if we make it to season 4, that might be all we get.<\/p>\n<p>Also: each of the small circles after the highlighted one (tonight\u2019s episode) is grayed out with static, representing the uncertainty of the show\u2019s future. Also remember the lyric this came up under:\u00a0\u201dIf years were seasons, this December would be the December of our December.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dan Harmon, you\u2019re a genius. And I seriously hope you get to fill in those static circles.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>1. A character is in a zone of comfort,<\/span><br \/><span>2. But they want something.<\/span><br \/><span>3. They enter an unfamiliar situation,<\/span><br \/><span>4. Adapt to it,<\/span><br \/><strong>5. Get what they wanted,<\/strong><br \/><strong>6. Pay a heavy price for it,<\/strong><br \/><em>7. Then return to their familiar situation,<\/em><br \/><em>8.
