Their other hand is tucked around Dragon like a safety<br \/>\nharness, holding her close to them. Their heartbeat has finally stabilized, but<br \/>\nthey still aren\u2019t over how close they came to losing her. Again.<\/p>\n<p>Dog\u2019s own myriad desires kept their mouth shut while the<br \/>\nDamn Shames bickered back and forth a while, before Riph finally said \u201crich<br \/>\nheroes\u201d enough times and it struck the right chord for each of them. For Rahab,<br \/>\nit was a desire to be rich; for Kin, a desire to be a hero to that dead man<br \/>\nTarsus, and probably a whole bunch of other people. Nobody else really needed<br \/>\nconvincing.<\/p>\n<p><i>Good<\/i>, Dog thinks, chucking Dragon under the chin until she<br \/>\nlooks at them.
