Not to keep harping on about this, but at this point I\u2019m sort of desperate\u2026as some of you may know I\u2019ve been invited to attend a film festival in Switzerland for two weeks, starting next week. It\u2019s this workshop where I\u2019ll get to write for several publications and be mentored by established film critics, and I was super excited when I found out I\u2019d been invited. Unfortunately there have been several problems in getting my plane ticket, and now I have to come up with $500 before Friday (July 27) in order to buy a plane ticket to get there\u2026I\u2019ve put a \u201cDonate\u201d button on my blog in the hopes that anyone out there may want to help out – I KNOW IT\u2019S A LONGSHOT – so I\u2019m not tryna sit here asking you guys to essentially pay for my ticket – please believe that\u2019s not what this is. I don\u2019t have anything to give in return except the reviews I would be writing if I do get to go, and I really don\u2019t think people should pay for those kind of services\u2026but I also really believe that this trip could change my career\/life and so I just thought, \u201cyolo, fuck it, I\u2019ll put a donate button up\u201d\u2026if anyone wants to help, it will be ~inconspiculously~ at the top of my personal blog zebablah.tumblr.com<\/a> until I get embarrassed and take it down.\u00a0<\/p>\n
