And anyway, there was a clue about the NATO Phonetic alphabet &#8211; you know, alpha, bravo, charlie &#8211; and one of my coworkers who spent childhood summers in Scotland starting giving us the Cockney rhyming alphabet. Only, she didn\u2019t explain it so we all thought she had gone bonkers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh, you know, like, B for Mutton?\u201d she said. And I just looked at her and thought, \u201cIn what world does B ever stand for Mutton??\u201d But then she explained that it\u2019s heard as \u201cBeef or Mutton\u201d and she started rattling off some of the others and I just about died laughing because that is the greatest thing in the world.
