Submissions will actually wind up in a zine. This zine is actually going to happen. It\u2019s a funny idea but it\u2019s also the truth, just like the moon being gay.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Submit to catherine.moneycat@gmail.com. This is an address I don\u2019t really use for other things so far (\u201ccatherine money\u201d is a pen name, i do actually have a surname), so you can be sure what you send won\u2019t get lost.<\/p>\n<p>What should you submit? Oh, any old thing. It doesn\u2019t have to be big. I\u2019m not going to balk at anything big, but I\u2019d be most comfortable with submissions under 10 pages. They can be way smaller &#8211; if I get stuff equivalent to tumblr text posts (single jokes or anecdotes, small images) I might lump a bunch together in a page. Poems, songs, videos, drawings, photos, photoshops, stories, nonfiction. Whatever you want. Hell, if you want to make memes I will even probably publish them.<\/p>\n<p>Submissions will ideally be about some concatenation of: the moon; homosexuality; queerness; intimacy; otherness; community in isolation; transness; womanhood; alienation; fulfillment. If you are gay, looking at the moon and doing what comes natural will work. Trust me.<\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t have to be credited under a specific name, or at all. We don\u2019t have to know each other. (What a nice way to become acquainted, though!)\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a short rundown of what I won\u2019t accept:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>shock images<\/li>\n<li>slurs that don\u2019t apply\/haven\u2019t applied to you<\/li>\n<li>material i can\u2019t read or get someone i trust to translate<\/li>\n<li>pictures of someone else\u2019s nudity<\/li>\n<li>or yours if you are a minor<\/li>\n<li>honestly i would sort of prefer as little nudity as possible but i\u2019m not prepared to put my foot down on that<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Let\u2019s tell the real story about the moon together.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>what if I&rsquo;m not gay, or only mostly gay, can I still look at the moon and do my thing??<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>monetizeyourcat: GAY MOON 2K14 is an actual zine I intend to release on or around Valentine\u2019s Day \/ the early morning Feb 15 full moon!
