{"id":12129,"date":"2014-01-17T20:25:00","date_gmt":"2014-01-17T20:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.augustwritesabook.com\/tumblr-backup\/2014\/01\/17\/and-now-for-2014\/"},"modified":"2014-01-17T20:25:00","modified_gmt":"2014-01-17T20:25:00","slug":"and-now-for-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.augustwritesabook.com\/tumblr-backup\/2014\/01\/17\/and-now-for-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"and now for 2014."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ahhh, the new year. time to indulge in those lists I love so much.<!-- more --><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>edit and self-publish\u00a0<em>First Run <\/em><\/strong>&#8211; I&rsquo;ll be done with my edit by the end of March, and then it&rsquo;s off to an editor. in my ideal world, this baby is up on Amazon by the end of August\/beginning of September.<\/li>\n<li><strong>faithfully write my chapters of<\/strong> <em>Return to Elgin <\/em>&#8211; I feel like I&rsquo;m getting to participate in a survivor writing contest again with this one! it&rsquo;s a commitment of around 2500-3k words per month, not insurmountable at all.<\/li>\n<li><strong>get my license\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; yeah, yeah, this one crops up every year. I really don&rsquo;t want to have to renew my permit for a third time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>participate in the one-month game challenge<\/strong> &#8211; Brandon and his two friends and I have decided to develop a game from first line of code to last piece of art in one month. might be April, might be May.<\/li>\n<li><strong>take my supplements regularly<\/strong> &#8211; self-explanatory.<\/li>\n<li><strong>exercise at least 4x weekly<\/strong> &#8211; yoga, stretches, basic cardio workouts at home, and maybe a long walk from time to time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>take a martial arts class<\/strong> &#8211; with Jake!<\/li>\n<li><strong>read 35 books<\/strong> &#8211; still feel like this might be high for how often I get to read&hellip;<\/li>\n<li><strong>try at least one new recipe every week<\/strong> &#8211; so far, so good.
